Just downloaded en installed CC v5.00.5050 (64bit), but .... using the cleaner results in freezing CC completely. I have to kill CC manually thru the taskbar. Register cleaner and other functions seems to be working OK.

What I read in another discussion that the English version works (it was a Sweed), and that is also with my Dutch version. Only changing it to English got it working ,,,,,,

I confirm this behaviour.
(CC 5.0 on Windows 8.1, changed language from Dutch to English)
yep, others too, and in fact the Dev team themselves in another post, have confirmed the switch to English fixes this issue.
as to seeing an update, you will have to wait like the rest of us for that.
I got similar problem after updating to CC v5.
I waited for fix of this bug but when it did not happen I searched what was the cause and it was the same as the others have:
Language, I had the Finnish version.
New CCleaner version out now
