CC shows 1 Restore, Search shows 12

I need to Restore an early (about 4 months) but the CC only shows a single (not old enough) Restore Point.

I have done a Search for *.reg and found 12 that show - CC_dates numbers.reg - but I cannot get to them from CC.

Any ideas? I know that the Registry is causing problems from a couple of months ago. Some of my software won't work right.

I use McAfee Total, tried the MS Malware Cleaner and Malwarebytes and all say there is no problems.

Ideas???

Those "CC_.reg" files you just do the following to import them back into the Windows Registry, this does not require CCleaner:

1. Double-click them, and select Yes to merge the data back into the registry

-or-

Right click them, and select Merge, and then select Yes to merge the data back into the registry

2. Reboot your computer.

pat you are misunderstanding the system restore section. It does not relate to your backed up reg entries from the registry integrity section.

Thank you both for your replies. I did the double click and Merge.

Unfortunately, it is my belief that something was ADDED in to my registry rather than something was removed by the cleaner. That item, an embroidery software did some how make a mess of my pc. They claim no one else is complaining and are not going to do anything for me.

I looked (carefully) at regedit to see if I saw something with their name on it but realized that I would not know what I was looking at.

?? ccleaner does not add to your registry ??

What embroidery software? and what does it have to do with runn the ccleaner registry integrity section??

what do you mean "get them from ccleaner"

You could probably do a repair install if it's available, or if required an uninstall then reinstall of the affected software to fix it. Then pass the developers a nice finger for not helping one of their customers.
