After the March android update the program doesn’t clean anything at all.

If CCleaner stopped working on your Google Pixel 8, first update it from the Google Play Store, then try clearing its cache (Settings → Apps → CCleaner → Storage → Clear cache) and restart your phone; also make sure it has storage permissions, and if it still fails, reinstall it, but keep in mind that newer Android versions restrict cleaning apps, so it may not function fully anymore and you can instead use your phone’s built-in storage tools or Google’s Files app to free up space.
They say they’re working on it but it’s been over a month and nothing has changed except my frustration with paying for an app that does nothing. I’ve contacted the developer several times and done everything they’ve asked but they no longer even respond. I want a refund.
seems to be a common problem with the android app. every big update it kills ccleaner and it takes them months to fix it 
. you get no response from support. time to find another cleaner me thinks
