I have cc cleaner on automatic I guess.
suddenly every 2 or 3 days, I get a warning saying there are 600mb and more of files to clean.
in the past I would hardly get the warning every week or 2 weeks.
most times I would hardly have 300 to 500mb of junk.
lately I haven't even been streaming videos on Netflix and Hulu. (hardly at all).
what do you guys think is going on?...
about to run a virus check.
I tell myself could something have downloaded on my laptop and doing this?
I mean my laptop works fine.
but I find CC Cleaner to be very productive, perhaps too productive lately.
I have been using since 2003 I think.
and this has never happened before.
why is it cleaning so much junk all of the sudden?
thanks for any help...

sounds like something has changed, say, your browser?, your surfing habits?, OS updates? etc?
if you are getting these pop-ups from CC, then you have Monitoring turned on.
you may want to adjust those settings if the pop-ups are too aggressive.
or if you have the Pro version, set it to deal with the removal automatically.
Open CCleaner and click analyze. Have a look in the list at which has the most files to clean.
Right click on the item and select 'View detailed list' have a look in the list for clues.
thanks to both...
my surfing habits have not changed.
I have actually been less busy on my laptop in the last few weeks.
the pop ups are not aggressive.
glad I get them.
this is how I noticed that CC Cleaner had been cleaning a lot of junk in the last 2 weeks.
and I've always had the monitoring turned on.
if anything has changed on my laptop it is nothing of my doing.
all I use it for is; Ebay, online Banking and streaming videos on Hulu (don't even download them).
I am not much into emails and the current medias like FB or Twitter (and I mean much at all)...
I guess I will try the "analyze" suggestion and see what this is about.
I find this very suspicious...
thanks to both for your help...
