Can't recover file.. error: "access is denied"

Running v1.40.525 on Windows XP Pro.

I found the file I want to recover. It doesn't show any file name or preview, but the header information is visible. I'm aware this doesn't mean the file is actually there, but I'm confident the file is intact.

However, when I try to recover it I get the error "Access is denied." ??

Why would access by denied? How would it?? I'm administrator on Windows and besides.. how do you get denied from accessing deleted files? How can I get these files back?
