Recuva was used to try to recover some jpg files from my USB stick and from my Android phone.
The software reported that it recovered the files and I copied them to my hard drive.
But, I could not open any of the files. I tried the 'deep' recovery approach, but that did not help.
Any suggestions?

other members have reported greater success in opening recovered pics by using the program IrfanView, so give that a go.
but of course you may simply be trying to open files that are corrupted and no longer able to be opened.
what error message do you get when opening?
does the thumbnail image of the picture still show?
