I'm new here... Anyway, my Canon camera came up with 'memory card error'. I put the SD card into my PC and it did nothing. So I formatted the card, and ran 'Recuva' which successfully found the missing images. BUT I can't open them. The file format is IMG_1234. (The four digits are unique to each picture). I can find nothing on the internet to help - any ideas, please?
Hi there!
Thanks for your inquiry
Can you confirm that the images have the file extension still attached? For example, when you try to rename a photo, is 'IMG_1234.jpg' what appears, or just 'IMG_1234'?
I have the same problem, recuva just drops me files without the extension, in my case are videos, some of the can be played but they appear in black and nothing is been displayed, how can I fix this?
Thank you
How about Recuva from Canon Camera?
SD Card Can't show on Recuva.
I have recently downloaded this software to recover photos deleted from my phone sd card. The photos had no previous available and when recovered showed they were .jpg files. However when I tried to open the files I was not able to open them. Any help on how to open these files???
I'm having the same issue with pictures and videos. The file is shown with the proper extension and the amount of Kbs (for videos however zero time amount is displayed) and of course they don't open..........
