Cannot install CCleaner 5.60

received notice that 5.60 update available. Downloaded but could not install. How do I update? is there a known problem>

What happens when you try to run the installer?

Do you have pro or free ccleaner?

What windows version?

I use Free version. When I downloaded 5.60 it said downloaded but did not install. Use Win 10 with latest upgrade and updates

What antivirus do you use?

Edit do any of the things which dave pointed to happen to you. At what point in the install does it break? For instance nothing ever happens or it gets part way through.

Thanks, but by disabling my anti virus and Microsoft store temporarily problem solved

In Windows Settings..Apps and Features.. did you have 'Only from the Store' selected under Choose where to get Apps (at top of the page) ?

Have heard some reports of Windows cheerfully setting this after updates. This blocks the installation of pretty much everything unless you change it back to "Allow from anywhere" or, if you are feeling more cautious "Warn me before installing apps"
