Cannot Download CCleaner

Hello all ,I have downloaded CCleaner successfully to my PC (it's great) but cannot download it to my husbands, he has cognitive problems (old age) and I do not know if he has changed a setting on his PC.I cannot do downloads from any where ,the message is just an" Explorer cannot find the website "type everytime.

Sorry if this is garbled but I am a Learner . Hope some one has any suggestion.

Thanks :

Try going to Internet Options (in IE7 it's under Tools) then click on the Security tab and make sure Internet Zone is highlighted. Click on the Custom Level button and scroll down to the Downloads section. Make sure that the File Download option has a mark next to Enabled.

An easier way to correct what he might have done is to click the Default level button instead of the Custom Level button. This will return all options in the Internet Zone under Security back to the initial installation configuration which is most likely the way you have it since you are learning (no disrespect intended).

Since he most likely has been "playing around" with things (if my Dab is any indication) it wouldn't be unreasonable to reset all zones back to their default settings.

Well until you sort out your internet settings as pavid suggests the easiest way to do this is copy your downloaded file to a flash drive thats if you have one. If you don't have one then I would recommend you get one. Once the file is on the flash drive you can plug this into your husbands computer. If he's using WinXP then you'll get a message probably saying found new hardware installing drivers. You may get a message saying what do you want to do with this drive, select browse files. Find your downloaded file and just double-click on it to install. ;)
