Cannot connect with primary DNS server

hey,

i bought a Linksys WRT54G router, i want to connect via wireless but it only connects local. i have vista, and when i click Diagnose and repair it says "cannot connect with primary DNS server (192.168.1.254)"

i have turned windows firewall, kaspersky internet security so nothing could block the connection,i have flushed the DNS. i ahve turned off the router, modem and computer, and i still have the problem,

i'm connected right now with a D-link WBR-1310 router via wireless and it works fine, i don't know what is the problem with the Linksys, HELP!!!

Try OpenDNS: http://www.opendns.com/

You could try this:

Click Start,

Click Control Panel,

Double Click Network Connections,

Right click your wireless connection, then click properties,

In the box that says "This connection uses the following items:", click Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), then click the properties button.

Make sure "Obtain an IP address automatically" and "Obtain DNS server address automatically" are selected.

OK your way out of all the boxes and hopefully all will be good after that.
