can i install both linux in same harddisk (redhat 9 & SuSe 10 )?
Although I haven't used Linux, I believe the answer is "yes". Linux file systems can still be partitioned, correct? If so, then you can partition your drive into two sections and install one OS on each partition. In fact, I believe you can even install Windows and Linux on the same disk, if you wanted to.
If you want to install linux i suggest you first try it on a virtual drive using Vmware Player.
in my system i have installed winxp sp2 & SUsE 10
then first the grub loading from mbr from SUse
& i can select winxp or linux.
but i want install redhat & SUse then i don`t about which grub loading at booting process.
i can also trying for this but i don`t want to take any risk
so anyone know him then piz help me
Of course you can use two Linux distributions one one harddisk.
You make one partition for SUSE and another partition for RedHat, then you share the same swap partition.
/dev/hda1 - SUSE
/dev/hda2 - RedHat
/dev/hda3 - Swap partition
Or something like that.
