Recuva gives me a long list of uninterpretable file names; I want a specific file. I'm sure this is easy to do, but I can't find any directions.
A normal scan will extract the file names as they are in the MFT. A Deep scan will find files but not filenames, so they will be listed as [012345].ext (or something similar). If you are finding file names that are random character strings, then they are probably temp internet files. there is no way to change any file names Recuva finds.
