Hello,
I recently defragged one of my drives and I'd like to know if anyone can explain why it looks like this? By this I am talking about the free space blocks throughout the drive at regular intervals.

The drive is a Samsung Spinpoint F1 1TB.
I also have another identical drive which looks like this before a defrag, though it is red rather than blue.
Thanks in advance.
Andy

that's windows defragmenter allocating more space so that it allows files to grow with intentions of mitigating fragmented files.
If you run Vista your computer is running it's weekly defragmentation job on wednesdays at 1am
Hi abyssunderground
This is a matter that has already been brought to the attention of the devs and they are looking into it.
Some posts here speak of it
