Am I crazy or is version 7 using more memory than V6?
likely yes . CCleaner 7 is an ever running service (services.msc) so in exchange for a faster scan, as it collects data while idle, there’s more ram used.
this, evidently, should make auto monitoring easier when it’s reintroduced in a future build.
Thank you for your reply. The best that I can tell C7 is using 500MB to 1GB more memory, maybe a little more at times.
Could I stop C7 from running in the background by changing the setting in the services screen?
I think you could disable the service, but with it disabled you cannot use ccleaner, nor when monitor comes back will it work.
