C-drive gets overloaded

My C drive is a 250Gb SSD drive. For a few months now, it has been running fuller and fuller. Of the 250Gb, I still had 5.5Gb available. Since I do a lot of photo editing (Lightroom and Photoshop) this seems to be slowing down my PC considerably. After buying CCleaner I thought I had found the solution, but only 3-4 Gb I could recover. The cause of the story is in the users folder and then in the subfolder with my name. That folder appears to contain 149Gb. But ... If I open this folder and search for these files/folders I cannot find them anywhere in it. What is the problem? How can I solve it ... with CClean?

Do you delete a lot of (old) files during this photo editing?

If you run Custom Clean in CCleaner, you can just do an Analyze, how much does it say that there is in the recycle bin?

If it says there are aways GB's of files in the bin, even after cleaning, then there is a fix for that: https://community.ccleaner.com/topic/60979-empty-recycle-bin-skipped-files/?tab=comments#comment-331053

If CCleaner isn't saying that there are GB's of files in the bin then have a read of this: https://10scopes.com/ssd-keeps-filling-up/
