Version 6.34.
Error in Software Updater module. I choose to install the Windows Updates, it gets about halfway through, then I get “Updating software to Not Started” and the process freezes.
Please explain.
I would NEVER use any software updater tool to update the Windows System itself.
In my opinion CCleaner shouldn’t even be offering to do Windows Updates.
Windows does it’s own updates automatically when needed.
Do your Windows Updates through Windows itself.
Go to Settings > Windows Update and click ‘Check for Updates’.
(PS. If CCleaner is offering you a Windows update but Windows itself isn’t offering it then you can be sure that your machine doesn’t need it).
Yesterday was Patch Tuesday with the monthly Windows cumulative updates and some Net Framework updates.
There were similar updates for Win 10.
