I can't get browser monitoring to work. I set CCleaner up to remind me to clean after exiting the browser, but that didn't work. I also tried to get it to clean automatically with notification, but it still does nothing.
I don't log into Chrome, and I told CCleaner not to save any cookies except Piriform. Afer exiting and re-entering, I can still see the browsing history. I am not allowing background Chrome tasks to run after exiting. Some of the sites remaining in history are bookmarked, some are not. My OS is Windows 7 64, and am using CCleaner Professional, updated today.
Ideally, CCleaner would delete all history and cookies when I exit the browser, except for sites designated in a list, and notify me that this is being done with a message that stays onscreen for a second or two. These settings should be persistent when the computer is rebooted.
