Bluetooth on a mobile?

Does anyone know anything about bluetooth on mobile phones, (or cellphones if they are still called that in the U.S.)?

I have heard of people being able to send messages to each other using bluetooth, seems to be the latest trend on the London Underground to send messages to strangers, quite often rude ones as well.

I dont seem to be able to find this option on my phone, I can send images or songs by bluetooth, but not messages.

If it helps I have a nokia 6230.

There's a Nokia (don't remember model number) on a T.V. commercial here in the U.S. that supposedly has it.
