Blank Recovery Location Dialog Box

GOOD evening! I feel like I'm tantalizingly close to being able to recover my entire Users folder from a 1TB drive, but when I go to recover files I'm presented with this as an option:

Could I ask someone to point me in the right direction for getting me to be able to select a recovery destination?

No idea, as it hasn't happened to me, but look at

And what happens if you press Make New Folder?
