I just installed Ghostery as an add-on on my FF. Never heard of it before. Looks interesting.

+1 to this "misunderstanding".

side note: I broke through an element that prevents right clicking on flickr to get this image. It was called the facade of protection. So true, just a facade.

a'ight back on topic (I created a monster, & I apologize)
I'm going to add ghostery to my ff portable.
Wonder how much I'm still hit with such while using mvps host file
I've been using Ghostery for a few weeks, suddenly it's appearing in the news a lot
I find it really odd that Ghostery is associated with this company
They even offer advice on Online Behavioral Advertsing

EDIT: There's a Ghostery extension for Opera.
https://addons.opera.com/en/addons/extensions/details/ghostery/0.9.3/
Winnapp, you're a star.
The Ghostery extension for Opera is without doubt the best thing I've come across in a long time.
For starters, it's enabled me to block that damned Google+1 button as well as a host of other things, and so far I haven't hit any websites which have failed to load or work as they should.
Even blocking more than one Facebook script has made no difference to accessing Facebook and using it normally.
It's also a complete eye opener how many uesless items are coming at you on some good, legitimate sites.
Thanks for the thread. Nice one.
