Do any of you recommend a good soundcard for Windows 7?
Under XP, I used Creative 512 card, & it rocked. Clean treble, clean bass.
But 7 will not recognize the card, & no drivers for 7 on their site.
Trouble I have, is the onboard sound is muddy & bass heavy, but the Rockfish card I got has a 10 band software EQ & sounds muddy as well.
Can anyone tell me a card that has great audio under Windows 7?
I want something on par with my old creative card.

So it's the soundcard that has problems? I had being using an old Dell under XP for years, great sound quality. Upgraded recently to a top-of-the-line Toshiba with Windows 7, and the sound is atrocious, absolutely horrible, and quiet. I figured it must be something to do with Toshiba, but is it really due to the operating system? I would think the soundcard would work the same under XP or Windows 7.
Not if it doesn't have proper drivers to run on windows 7
