Been with CCleaner for years - would not accept my saved login?

I have been with CCleaner for years - but when I tried to sign in today it would not accept my saved login so I know it was correct. Was told if they had my email as a user, I would be sent a link - did not arrive. Tried to sign in as new - would not accept that. Finally through the community somehow I managed to be sent an email that allowed me to sign in with a new password. Have yet to see if it will work!
Of course CCleaner does not give you the option to easily find an email address or an option to actually email them with your issue. Probably do this as they know they would be inundated with questions and complaints.
This difficulty and seeing all the complaints on here is about enough for me to quit CCleaner. They always seem to send emails offering specials that really are to their benefit in that they hope you don’t realize you don’t need what they are offering as you already have it!

you’re typing in the community my guess is it worked. Though i do note it says this is your first time posting so i think you signed up for as new forum account (forum accounts have no bearing on the use of the CCleaner application)

Sign into what exactly? What wouldn’t accept your login, ccleaner as an application has no sign-in.

i do not work as an employee my opinions are that of a user of this product like you
Support at https://support.ccleaner.com/s/contact-form?language=en_US&form=general

Fill out the form and press submit. This should open a second page with the option for an AI chat, yell at the bot if it doesn’t help and it should get you a human.

Hi @ddfdesign,
Please send me a link to the site you were trying to log into so I can investigate this further.

Was the message that you got when it wouldn’t acceprt your saved login:

"You cannot login as #your username# from that IP address".

That is a glitch* that can happen at times, if you just try again a couple of times then you can login.

*(Actually it’s a consequence of an Admin “IP passthrough” setting which despite my telling them on numerous occasions how to set it correctly they have never done so.
EDIT- I just checked and there were 2 AWS server IP’s being blocked, one in the US and one in France, I’ve now unblocked them).

Hi Nergal, thank you for your response and thank you Laurence & nukecad also. It’s just annoying that I keep getting emails from CCleaner offering me ”deals” to pay more for something I thought I already had - so I wanted to check my CCleaner account. But you are correct - you cannot simply sign in as you can to so many products. I finally managed to see what was on my account through the app so now know for sure I have the offered items already. To me this just seems a tactic to get people to pay them more money without checking if needed. To me this is not fair marketing.

Examples:

“You’re partway through your subscription: why not upgrade now and save? Upgrade to multi-device CCleaner Premium for the remaining 6 months of your subscription for only CA$12 and get” - things I already have!!!

"Last chance: renew now to get 2 years of CCleaner Premium for the price of 1!” My subscription ends in November – why would I want to renew now?? And in truth – I would only be getting 1 ½ years for the price of 1.

This sort of behaviour from a company is getting me very close to just finding another source.

Have quite CCleaner - googled good options and have gone with another product. CCleaner needs to improve it’s business ethics.
