Banking login

Cleaner suggested a scan today following that I cannot login to one of my banks. What can I do?

How do you mean that you cannot login?

If CCleaner has cleared an ‘Automatic’ login or a cookie then you should still be able to login to your bank account using your username and password as registered with the bank.

Yes, normally it does work that way. I am talking about Chase Banking login. I have had this problem on & off for some time but had no idea what caused it. However, yesterday Cleaner advised a scan, following that I cannot access my Chase account. I am assuming that the problem lies with Cleaner maybe not.

I’d say as this has been going on for a while then it is something other than CCleaner and you should talk to your bank.

If you want to confirm for yourself that it is not CCleaner then you could uninstall CCleaner and that would tell you if it was the cause or not.

you could try running firefox in “troubleshoot mode” and trying to log in to chase while in “troubleshoot mode.”

or, you could use firefox’s “profile manager” to create a new firefox profile, and try logging in to chase with it.

also, you could try disabling firefox’s “enhanced tracking protection.” it has been known to cause problems with logging in to bank accounts, particularly its blocking of “fingerprinting.” however i haven’t heard of that being a problem, recently.
