I agree. After using it for some time, I think it's the best AV I've ever used.

EDIT: On my Windows 7 computer, it automatically installed a sidebar gadget after updating. Thanks, but no thanks.

Read here under the Installation section, you have to do a Custom Install in Windows Vista/7 to bypass it.

Thanks for the link, but I upgraded through the program and didn't get an option to choose different types of install.

That looks brilliant! I like the fact that its more smooth now, unlike Avast 5, where the interface was very glossy (I didn't like it too much). I'm very tempted to switch from MSE to Avast at the moment. :lol:

I like the tweaked UI except for the text reflections...but once again their French translation is very poorly done (although they have fifteen million French users) :(

That made me think of the last time I used Panda Cloud Antivirus with their strange scan button reading "Scan all my computer", nitpicking but weird use of a language is rather annoying.

On avast!'s French website, "Learn more about Internet Security" is cropped in French "En apprendre plus sur Internet" which means "Learn more about the Internet". :lol:

I've had no problems with MSE. If I ever do I know Avast 6 is just a download away.
