I set defraggler to defrag C: and D: last night and went to bed.
In the morning I found the computer still on, defraggler displaying a "Computer will now shut down" type message with two buttons: "shutdown now" and "cancel".
I pressed "cancel" since I wanted to use the computer, and it immediately went down and did a proper shutdown and poweroff.
So, multiple bugs here:
1. It did not auto-shutdown in the first place.
2. Hitting "Cancel" in the "Computer will now shut down" dialog should actually cancel the process. Granted, #2 might have been a cascading failure after #1 failed to do its job properly.
System: Windows XP SP3 fully patched.

Bump - any way of troubleshooting this? Any more useful information I can provide?
