In theory, this should work on all version that have these registry keys...
Goto: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ashampoo\Ashampoo Burning Studio 2007 (or your version)
Modify these keys and set value data: 0
UpdateType - will remove Online Update from Internet.
UpgradeType - will remove upgrade to newer version from Internet.
I don't care about upgrading, some it can come in useful.

Isn't that the same as configuring it via the program itself in:
'Settings->Configure News Channels' then you can untick both Ashampoo News, and Updates
