Hello, I have the premium account. I downloaded the new version 7, but the application won’t start. I try to open it, grant it permission to make changes, and nothing happens. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the application several times, and it still doesn’t work.
Are you still using Windows 7 by any chance? The new CCleaner will not run on Windows 7.
When you say ‘nothing happens’ do you mean nothing at all, or does it open and then freeze.
Which version of CCleaner do you want?
You can get either the newest CCleaner v7, or the legacy CCleaner v6.39 versions from here:
The first one on that page downloads an installer for CCleaner v7.
After installing it go to Settings>My Subscription and enter your licence key to register/activate it as Professional.
The second on the page downloads an installer for CCleaner v6.39.
(That’s the last v6 version for Windows 8, 8.1, 10, and 11 - it’s also the last CCleaner that works with Windows 7).
After installing it go to Options>License Key and enter your licence key to register/activate it as Professional.
Also go to Options>Updates and untick both boxes there to prevent it trying to update to v7.
I’m using Windows 11. I want to install CCleaner version 7, but the program doesn’t open at all.
When I double-click the icon, a popup appears asking for permission to allow the program to make changes to my device — I click “Yes,” but then nothing happens. The program doesn’t open or show any window.
