You need a monster computer just to run it.
It has much DRM (Digital Restriction Management), TC (Treacherous Computing), etc.
It has PVP (Protected Video Paths), and lots of crap funcionality desired by Hollywood and the media companies to prevent you from having control of your computer. It prevents you todo certain stuff, can even close your monitor if you watch their copyright movies crap.
The new interface looks gay.
It waste your computer resources on encrypting all video streams to prevent you from ripping movies and to piss you off.
The only good thing in Vista imho is UAA (Unified Audio Architecture).
Agreed, if i m forced to get vista by the waves of technology i hope theirs a way to bypass it, or im going to linux.
I use Windows for Guild Wars, once I get it working in Cedega then I'll be in Dapper heaven.

Yeah, I have to try out Ubuntu "Dapper Drake".
Last version of Ubuntu I tried was the "Hoary Hedgehog" release.
I kind of like Slackware too...
