lists 6 days to completion and only increases with time. is this normal for trying to recover data from RAW partition? suggestions?
I assume that this in relation to Recuva?
A few details will help us give the correct advice:
How big is your drive/partition?
Is it a HDD, SSD, something else, that you are trying to recover from?
How did it become RAW, and how did you reformat it?
(Recuva can’t see RAW drives, they need to be quick formatted first so that they have a drive letter).
How are you using Recuva, ie, are you using the Wizard or the Advanced Options for recovering non-deleted files from damaged/reformatted drives?
yes recuva. 5.45 tb, hdd, became RAW after power surge on usb hub. have not re formatted, but can view drive letter. should i try that? then recover. using free software, advanced option i believe.
I have moved this to the Recuva section
5.4 TB is a lot to scan so it will take a long time.
Probably shorter though if/when scanning for non-deleted files following a reformat.
There is a particular way to scan for non-deleted files, see the steps here (and watch the video to see someone doing it).
Thank You, appreciate all the help and info!
