Agnitum firewall detected

Dear Piriform,

Speccy detects Agnitum firewall 6.5.1 as being enabled, however it ain't installed anymore, I use ESET Smart Security.

I have encountered this problem earlier, when F-Secure Health Check also detected Agnitum firewall.

However it is true I did have it installed in the past. Now the problem is it seems that it didn't get uninstalled properly. I have tried a lot of things to uninstall the last leftovers, but I can't find them. However I never experienced conflicts with other firewalls, also Windows Action Center doesn't detect Agnitum. I already tried a lot of things such as:

- reinstalling and uninstalling again

- the above mentioned in safe mode

- running the Agnitum cleanup tool

- manually searching all folders

- manually searching the register

So my question is, how can I see WHY Speccy finds Agnitum, so I can remove the last leftover?

Or is it possible you provide me with the detection rules for Agnitum firewall?

Thanks in advance.

It would be something like this I posted the other day, however in your case the references would be for Agnitum.

I've just remembered that sometimes security software like antivirus and firewalls, can get stuck in the WMI Repository Database/Cache. You could try rebuilding it via a link in this search.

You didn't say which version of Windows you use however. If you by chance use Windows XP I have a pre-built batch script to rebuild the WMI Repository Database which also fixes an issue with Windows Security Center stating you still have long uninstalled antivirus/firewall still on your computer

Hello, I already tried what you described in your first post. Deleting folders and registry items manually.

I am now looking in the WMI thing, I am using Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.

EDIT: I rebuilt the WMI components by a bat script found in this thread: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/57746-system-restore-general-troubleshooting-fix-issues.html

But that didn't fix the problem.
