After using cCleaner I cant find files

A friend gave me her PC to clean up

I installed CCleaner for her and ran the application

She took her PC home but has returned it to me

She can no longer find her MYOB files since running the app

These are extremely Important files needed for her business..

I live in Australia but am prepared to ring and receive advice over the phone

if you care to give me a phone number that I can call

In what directory did she saved her files?

CCleaner only deletes junk files.

Try using Recuva.

If she stored her files in a Temp folder they're toast, as even Windows has the potential of removing those via Disk Cleanup. Like the post above stated she'd need recovery software such as Recuva to get them back if they were stored in the wrong place.

Folks really need to make backups of important files. With CD-R's and DVD media being so cheap coupled with a good burning application making version based weekly or monthly backups is fast and easy.

You're not bloody wrong Keith..lol

I'm still waiting on her to visit and explain to me the MYOB file save system

so that I at least know what I'm looking for. MYOB is not your typical PC application.
