Having issues on my laptop after running ccleaner approx 10 mths ago.
My user accounts were setup with administrator rights, but after running ccleaner they have changed to standard user.
Tried to update to Admin level but it is greyed out when i try to save.
Admin 01 shows it to be an admin account
Accessed into "Äccount Type". Admin 02, tried to change to Admin Admin 03, but it is greyed out and can't be altered.
Tried running from the "Built in "Admin account", but it too only has "Standard User" access.
Very frustrating as trying to update to Windows 10. Tried running via RightClick and use administrator Privilege but following error message appears
Refer Admin 04

And this happened 10 months ago?
Only found out recently via forum that ccleaner is the culprit. So how does the documentation help me?

i had this similar thing on my vista and w7 in the past... but i think, its not caused by ccleaner.
finally i have both reinstalled ![:D]()
try this:
start-->all programs-->accessories-->command prompt (rightclick and open with adminrights)
net user administrator /active:yes
login at next startup as administator.
perhaps with this you can give your useraccount "lindsay" the adminrights back
Running as 'super admin' is not really recommended for day to day use.

absolutely.
if it works to give the adminrights back to your account, deactivate the "admininstrator"
net user administrator /active:no
I tried running the built in Administrator but the same issues as running from user-Lindsey (which has admin rights).
Would appear that i will have to reinstall Windows.
