Adobe Reader SpeedUp is a simple application that was created to help make the loading time of Adobe's Acrobat/Reader software bearable for everyday use. AR SpeedUp only needs to be used once (a process taking only a few seconds) and then your 'Reader will be transformed forever. There are also some tweaking options available. "w00t!", as the young kids say.
IMHO, why mess with the kernels memory caching? What could this do that the normal caching wont? Especially with superfetch in Vista.
who said anything about that? .. it allows u to disable unnecessary plugins that load during the startup of adobe reader
Recently binned Adobe reader (again ) and went back to Foxit reader.
Just yesterday binned Foxit for PDF Exchange viewer.

Adobe Reader 8.1 Lite is still available and in about 16 languages.
I've been using this for a few months now and on my pc it loads in about 3 seconds.
Not as small a footprint as some but IMHO the quality is well worth the slightly higher resource use, and I haven't tried anything that loads measurably quicker on my pc, and I've tried a lot.
