There is a rather disturbing article in the NY Times blog today about Adobe Flash and how it sets its own cookies that are not cleared normally when you clear the browser.
Can someone tell me whether CC Cleaner clean this by default, or should I write a custom profile?
Thanks
Hello CCUser003,
Thanks for bring it up.
Don't be too disturbed, it is just part of browsing the Internet nowadays.
CCleaner comes with the default set to clean Adobe Flash Player files. This option is at Cleaner > Applications tab > Multimedia > Adobe Flash Player. However you may not want all the files cleaned. Some users want to keep certain "flash cookies" because they contain things that improves their browsing and speeds things up.
Yes, you can use the Include/Exclude options to handle these. It is up to you. Some users leave the Adobe Flash Player option on and use the Exclude option to keep certain "flash cookies" from being cleaned. Some users turn the Adobe Flash Player off and keep all the "flash cookies". The crucial information is encrypted.

As Davey said It's Does it by Default, however there may be pages you want to keep the settings for for instance I hate having to reset the Volume settings for Youtube and NPR so I have added, in my exclude, the Following
to get *.sol (wildcard) Choose one of the .sol files (for instance COSMOSPrefs.sol) in the folder. save the exclude file and manually change the CCleaner.ini file to have * if the place of COSMOSPrefs.
