I have purchased the free trial of CCleaner Pro and have received the confirmation email and Product Key. When I paste in the product key to activate “Pro” I get a message saying there is a problem activating, with an Alpha Code (0xA0010006) and to try later. I have tried several times with the same result. It then suggest contacting the Help Center where I have tried to fill in the on-line form for support but see at the bottom of the form - Hmm we think you are a robot please refresh the form - which I have done but to no avail as I get the same result. Obviously I would like to activate “Pro” ASAP to see if it works on my windows laptop, but if not to cancel my subscription before payment is taken, but obviously cannot get into the account to cancel, but cannot because it is not activated. In frustration I am now trying this forum for help PLEASE!! Cheers Terry
The 0x10000006 error is probably due to CCleaner not being able to connect to the licence server to validate the licence key.
Are you using any type of firewall or VPN that may be preventing CCleaner from connecting to the licence server?
(Which may also be why the Support Form thinks you may be a robot?)
Of course a lack of connection could also mean that the server is busy or is temporarily offline for some reason, in which case it will usually work if you try again afer a few hours.
