I'm running speccy in windows 10 home, on admin account, using the "run as admin" option,
still, when entering the program, I get "access denied" under all sectors...
any ideas?

Is this the only program that you are having this 'access denied'' problem with?
What security software do you run?
So far, yes, only Speccy seems to have this "access denied" problem (for instance, I use also CC cleaner wo problems)...
I used avast, but now I'm running only with windows defender, no difference. :-/

Could you try uninstalling it and restarting your machine.
Then try the portable build from here
Hi. I had the same problem, only Peripherals displayed correctly. Initially Speccy (v 1.32.740) was working normally. Then, for some un-known reason, it showed 'Access is Denied' even under Administrator account or opening it as Administrator (Run as Administrator). After un-installing, re-starting and downloading the portable version, the same error occurred. Only after having to Shut Down my PC, when I logged in, it was working as normal again.
Also, Hyper-V was working normally after the Shut Down, having re-named my PC a week earlier. Perhaps, re-naming my PC affected Speccy as well.
