A sheep's-eye view of the Faroe Islands

Frustrated that the archipelago had been overlooked by Google's Street View mapping service, Visit Faroes set up Sheep View last year to create an ovine tour of the islands.

Residents of the Faroe Islands have launched a virtual tour of the archipelago by strapping a 360-degree camera onto the backs of sheep.

I'm not going to be strapping a camera to my back login123

But it's a great idea and the place looks stunning.

I couldn't get the translation to work :( I tried 'thank you'')

First I wondered what, then I looked at your avatar and got it. I'm sure those sheep are getting a sheep's pay too, which is nothing.

Heres a good (funny) video about it:

And while looking about I also came across another ‘google sheep view’.

Some people have too much time on their hands.

If you have some time to waste spare then take a look, try the outakes.

I couldn't get the translation to work either.

There's a rechaptcha thing at lower right but it doesn't work either.

Never got the translation thing to work, but there are more videos to be seen.

They use a lot of RAM on this old xp machine. yuk yuk.

Check out Shipview this page.
