The personal data of over 500 million Facebook users has been posted online in a low-level hacking forum.
The data includes phone numbers, full names, location, email address, and biographical information.
Security researchers warn that the data could be used by hackers to impersonate people and commit fraud.
My mother uses it, and of course her email was compromised via the https://haveibeenpwned.com link you provided. Probably why she also gets so much spam in her Hotmail, so much it looks entirely unusable.
According to Facebook's statements they weren't 'Hacked' they were only 'Scraped'.

The average user is not going to be bothered about such technical semantics/jargon - Face-ache let someone steal their email addresses and telephone numbers and other data.
