  1. While I appreciate the new Mac version is being kept updated (unlike 1.18.x) and it looks all Mac'ified, the lack of user choice (in advance) as to what it should scan and/or, say, how to choose what Cookies are kept and which aren't at cleaning is disconcerting. Must a user go through the entire list shown to be sure and manually add the ones to keep? Really? Other offers - like for 'bad' photos - equally disconcerting, even if a user can choose to not delete them after the scan. It all looks like a user accident waiting to happen. Meanwhile, I note on my travel laptop running Win11, the old school layout still exists, even in the most recent version. Seems to work, too. Sometimes adding bells and whistles ("Squirrel!") is just that, and IIABDFI (If It Ain't Broke...) applies.
  2. Finally! An update. After 16 months. But yeah, I don't 'get' the interface. And instructions less clear than they should be in each category. I'll stick with the Free version for the moment and see if it becomes more intuitive in time. Or if an assumption it / I make with it completely wipes something important I need. That said, I had to delete the last (Oct 2020) CCleaner because it would consistently crash on Big Sur and Monterey, so I'm not sure rolling back is best option. But there are 3rd Party websites (like FileHippo) that archive older versions of apps, if Piriform doesn't. Still, if all else fails, there's always OnyX and its Maintenance tab...
  3. Guess I'm waiting for 2.0 Ccleaner (Free) on my Mac Big Sur (Air 2017) would often not complete a scan before crashing - crash report sent as requested - and more of the same now with Monterey (12.0.1). Disappointing as it was part of my weekly maintenance on older OSs with no issue (Onyx - newest version released within a couple of weeks of Monterey release - I still do monthly) - but I do note current Ccleaner is over a year old, so not necessarily holding my breath for the Mac Beta.
  4. Had issues with CCleaner (Free) on Catalina (as noted to Reggie in Support - August 2020), not much better with Big Sur (crashing 3/4 way thru scan most often), and now the same with Monterey and most recently available CCleaner for Mac (still 1.18.30, I believe). Reggie couldn't give a timeline as to when CCleaner would work on Catalina, and two OSs later, it look likes nothing has happened. Hardly wants me want to consider paying for the product. I guess no interest / expertise with Mac products there. Its disappointing, as it is an app I once used successfully on my Macs.
