strange,the run thing shud have worked.you downloaded the version for win xp rite?really not sure why it wont run for you

where did u download it from?maybe re-download and re-install it? or try this go to start,go to run,and type CCleaner,press ok and it shud pop up.that work? u dont have a firewall or a process guard stopping it from running?id say a reinstall will work fine

i used to use iobit smartdefrag,didnt seem too good. lot of people are recommending jkdefrag,im sure u can find the topic a few below this one.jkdefrag also optimizes the files it defrags,it seems pretty good and its free so you would probably be fine with that. to answer ur Qs to the best of my knowledge 1)you wudnt need to disable the windows defragger,they wont clash like firewalls or anti-virus programs.also i dont think it wud be safe to disable/remove the windows defragger,not sure even how you would go about disabling it anyway 2)not really sure sorry 3)yep you just uninstall any defragger program you dont want and everything will be fine,no ill effects. check jkdefrag,it seems class,no need to pay for a defrag program imo

recently i updated my msn messenger(it asked me to),and for some reason its not working properly and i have no idea why. when i double click the msn icon to load it up,nothing happens,but i can get it working by reinstalling it again which is a bit annoying.so every time i restart pc or log off i gotta reinstall msn dont think my registry cleaners did anything..any ideas?

my mate had an iRiver,and the small thing in the centre for selecting songs was a little sharp around the edges,really hurt my fingers after a while

i wudnt recommend going to galway.you wud have a far better chance getting a decent job in dublin than galway,and not to mention that dublin is a far better place. will bump this thread if i think of anything else that might help,good luck with your search,and feel free to get in touch before you come over so can give ya info/tips bout dublin

shud be careful asking for serials to programs that your supposed to buy.not only can you get in trouble,but the site may also. btw chances are you can get like a 15-30day trial for some programs which will give u the full use of it.check downloads.com

ive tried avg,norton,avast,nod32,and kaspersky.and for me none of them come close to kaspersky.everything about it is excellent.only problem is the cost. ive only heard good things about avira,and its free,so imo u shud get that. what spyware scanners u using?cud probably update those if u been using norton this long

the CCleaner registry cleaner is extremely newbie friendly it seems.you dont really need to be knowledgeable.as long as you make sure you have backups you will be fine. two registry cleaners i mainly use are "registry mechanic" and "winaso registry optimizer".unfortunately they not freeware.they let u compress and optimize ur registry,and restore backups easy. just be careful what registry programs you use,and always make backups,as some reg cleaners are too aggressive and ur pc may get messed up.

haha i think nearly everybody knows about imdb.com its an amazing site,and extremely helpful.you should check out its "top 250 movies" list,slowly making my way through that. as for 300,it wont be out in the usa for a few more months,think the release date is april/may.it looks amazing though,and id be surprised if it didnt fulfill its potential.the trailer is class,including the Nine Inch Nail song used.when i saw the trailer i decided to get the graphic novel its based on by Frank Miller,which is really kool. i watched that new german movie "The Lives of Others" which is really good,and you should check out when you can

hehe im from ireland,and im actually planning on going to canada next september for a year ^^ not exactly sure about helping u get a job pertaining to your field of work,best suggestion i can think of,where you should get the answers you want,is to go to www.boards.ie and make a topic for it in the suitable place.tis a huge irish site that most people here use,so hopefully u can get your answers there,or a link to somewhere else. if you got any more questions concerning ireland or anything else just post here and ill give ya my expert advice i assume your planning on coming to dublin?

yeah i had some problem with rundll32 or something similar.wasnt due to CCleaner for myself,and tis prob a safe bet that CCleaner didnt cause ur problem.i googled for rundll32 myself like andavari suggests,and everything was fine

i was using gran paradiso the day it came out for a good while,but eventually i missed the foxytunes extension,and some sites with pdf werent loading up.

yeah the registry cleaner on CCleaner has never given me any trouble,just make sure you keep some backups!
