  1. Aethec - I tried MSIE 8 but it doesn't offer the same Links control as MSIE 7( and I have a L-O-T of links !!), so I went back to v7...

    I mainly use MSIE for browsing, but use MSIE,Opera and Mozilla for testing. Same issue with all of them.

    Manually viewing the website source code shows it HAS been updated.

    CCleaner is configured to delete everything except specific cookies, and nothing from my website is selected to be saved(which would at most only be a cookie, and I don't need them), so that should be sufficient!

    I think the question is : What is Ctrl-F5 doing as far as any MSIE cache is concerned ?

  2. I've found that when I update content on my (newly acquired) website, when I view the site, it shows the old layout.

    Now, I close the browser (MSIE 7 mainly) THEN run CCleaner, but the only way to get the current website layout to show is to hit Control-F5 (forced server refresh). This suggests that the old site layout is still being cached *somewhere*.

    Note that I need a lot of cookies for forums login info, so I use Cleaner rather than wiping the cache via the browser.

    So,is CCleaner missing something or am I !?

  3. I've moved the default MSIE 7 (Vista Home) cache folder location to a USB drive (encrypted on-the-fly with TrueCrypt, but I don't see that as the problem) instead and now I find that CCleaner doesn't clean out anything anymore ! As a double check, I checked the cache contents in MSIE and they all still showed there.

    I can browse to the new folder, click a file and hit delete, and it's gone, so there's no restrictions that I can see.

    Is this a bug or is there a setting for it ?

  4. 1. Run CCleaner

    2. Click Options->Cookies

    3. On the 'Cookies to Delete' side highlight a cookie you want to keep such as forum.CCleaner.com then click the -> button to move it over into 'Cookies to Keep' side.

    Thanks, but not what I mean !

    For instance, I have TWO instances of rapidshare.com in the list.

    I need to manually edit the cookie list (where ever it is) !
