That did it! quick and easy. Thanks so much. You know, I've used ccleaner for quite some years. Any time a friend has trouble with their machine, I load it up and run it just to clean stuff up. I'm not a fan of W10 even after giving it a chance. I'm just getting too old.

My recycle bin shows empty. I run ccleaner and it shows it deleted 4 files totaling 737,280 kb. It's been doing it for a week. If I rerun it immediately, it reports it deleted the same amount again. What it shows as deleted are files in: C:\$Recycle.Bin\ ...random characters...
