  1. I have a 1TB HDD (Buffalo) drive that has some old work files and such (TV/Movie production files) on it that I no longer need, so I deleted them using the standard trash option years ago. I am in the process of trying to part ways with some of these hard drives that I no longer need. Here's my problem.... I used DiskDrill to check the drive for recoverable items. There was something like 20k files throughout the drive. Over 15k photos/video files from the studio are still recoverable. I recovered some to find out. Because this is proprietary media it can't go out as is. I then attempted to use a 7-PASS Wipe in CCleaner 1.18.30 (Mac). I let it run all day/night until it completed. I just ran DiskDrill again and all the files are still visible and recoverable. Does the free space wipe actually work for anyone or is it a gimmick? I've reformatted the drive multiple times in different formats and repeated the processes to find no change. Any help would be appreciated! If CCleaner isn't the best thing or the only thing I need to do, please advise. Thanks!
  2. I am running Big Sur 11.5.2 and just ran CCleaner 1.18.30. I haven't upgraded CC since I installed it a long time ago. I am here actually to attempt to see if there is an upgrade available. Just happened to be looking for a remedy to another issue and thought I would post this screenshot.
