  1. I have 51 days left of a Professional-Plus licence and have just downloaded the new version for Mac, but it tells me that my licence key is invalid, so I can't activate the new version.

No worries, I'm not going to renew anyway, but on checking the licence information I find that autorenew is on. I click on 'Manage subscription' but - hey - Internet access is blocked. All other sites are working perfectly but this link tells me that I need to check my firewall, check network connections etc. Yes, they're all working perfectly but now, when I click on 'Licence Information' up comes the information screen with 'Manage subscription' again, but when I NOW click on that, it closes and takes me back to the previous screen without even trying to access the Net any more.

I'm not going to become paranoid and complain that Piriform are making it difficult for me to cancel... but... what am I doing wrong? I can access every other site on the Net bar the subscription-management' page? Any thoughts?

  2. I run three computers on a paid licence. The PC version runs well, it's an HP Laptop on Windows 10. The two Macs.... no good. One is running High Sierra, the other Catalina. The Catalina version takes up to 20 minutes to open, and eventually runs if you leave it long enough. The High Sierra version crashes on opening, crashes on 'analyze', crashes on 'run cleaner'. I'm so used to the 'CCleaner has quit unexpectedly' message I just hit the 'report to Apple' button automatically now.

I tried a reinstall of 1.18.30 to see if that improved things but all that happened was that I lost the paid version, and can't work out how to get Professional again as there's nowhere to insert the licence.

I double-clicked the Ccleaner icon on the Catalina Mac which I'm currently typing on - 23 minutes ago. It still hasn't started up.

  3. Never got any message nor news of any Mac update despite being paid up for two years. I can't tell if the software updated as I can't open it; been waiting twenty minutes now for it to open so thought I'd check here and see what others are doing.

My Mac has just told me: application not responding. Had to force quit.

  4. CCleaner no longer opens on my Mac, also running Catalina 10.15.7. It still runs in the background, sometimes opens when I use Safari and tells me how many GB it can save, but won't open on the desktop no matter what I try. I'm hoping for a solution in this thread before starting another on the same topic.

bad news for the first post writer...

ms has stopped the possibility of activation of ms office 2011 for mac in 2018 and informed the user about this one year earlier in 2017.

the next version could be office 2016...

The next version will be LibreOffice, no chance of going anywhere near Microsoft Word again.

  6. I've got two copies of Microsoft Office 2011 for Mac, proper boxed copies with CD key, one of which came with my Mac (but is a spanish-language version) and the other a UK version which I bought and had installed for years. After a hard-drive upgrade I found out that Microsoft support has ended for 2011. This means I cannot activate the copy - tried today by telephone and after over half an hour it was: "cannot help you, bye" and off they went! As it's not activated it simply won't open at all.

Does anyone know what I can do - I've also got LibreOffice and am not shelling out for a brand new rip-off 2019 version from Microsoft when all I do is write in Word. (There are specific work-related reasons why I need Word and LibreOffice has already failed to save a manuscript in the correct format)

    Any advice on activation?

  7. I'm running an iMac with OSX 10.13.6 and have the latest CCleaner, but it crashes a lot - on startup, mid-clean or when finished. I just get the 'Report to Apple' dialogue box telling me it closed unexpectedly. It's 1.18.30 Professional and can take a long time to startup. The Mac is only used for word Processing so has very little of the disk space used, 483GB free of 500GB, and i have very few applications on it. Any thoughts?
