  1. THANKS, yes, this did the trick. Funny, I tried it the other way round, copying the ini from the old version into the 64 subfolder, but this didn't do the trick.
  2. I experienced the same as bgavin right now. Downloaded the zip file for portable version, unpacked it, started it. and whoosh it autoupdated to the 6something version despite the fact that I unchecked autoupdate in my old portable version. Put the files of the install version into the folder of the portable version. Not good at all. Apart from this I encounter general problems in updating the portable version (extra post in te help request section). Oh , and both the portable and the install version are lacking any language except English.
  3. At some point between version 5.64.7540 and version 5.92 the file structure has changed. So how do I update when I want to overwrite the existing version to keep my settings and most important the language? Version 5.92 is lacking German language, the dropdown shows English as only langage option even though the zip package includes a "lang" folder full with numbered dll files. So, if overwritig is not possible due to the changed file structure, how to change the language?
  4. I use portable browsers (Pale Moon, Slim Browser and SlimJet). In SlimBrowser and SlimJet I use cookie protection add-ons. For Pale Moon such a thing does not exist so I need to keep all cookies, or delete all cookies manually to keep those I want to preserve. Before working CCleaner I need to know whether it will delete the cookies from the portable browsers, and if so, how to protect some of them. In the cookies section of the settings I find only cookies which are associated to the installed browsers (Internet Explorer plus two versions of Edge) - even though I know positively that most of these websites whose cookies are in the list - for example Facebook and Dr Windows - I have never used with any of these installed browsers.
