    Ok, understood. However, without deleting the entire .ini file, is it possible to remove the Recent Media list?

    I find that for VLC Media, the FileKey1 entry needs to be FileKey1=%AppData%\vlc|*.cache-3;ml.xspf.tmp*;vlc-qt-interface.ini rather than FileKey1=%AppData%\vlc|*.cache-3;ml.xspf.tmp*;vlc-qt-interface.ini.*
