Close Firefox if it's open Open Task Manager and look for anything CCleaner that may be running, and 'End Task' on it.Nothing runningThen open Firefox and see if the bookmarks are back. Still no bookmarks

I’ve attempted to delete files in Firefox and message says I cannot do that because the files are in use with CCleaner. I’m using v77.0.1 64 bit

“The bookmarks and history system will not be functional because one of Firefox’s files is in use by another application. Some security software can cause this problem.”

Installed the latest CC update, then opened my Firefox Mozilla browser but there are no bookmark. After investigation my pc I see message from FF that a security program on my pc is the cause of the problem. Then moved into Windows Explorer and attempted to delete/rename Firefox files and message appears that CCleaner is, in my words, “the culprit” All advice/assistance will be warmly welcomed.
