  1. Sennheiser I KNOW is good. I have the Sony h.ear? Stereo Headphones (Blue)

and they have great over all volume. I don't see anything wrong with Sony and their headphones.

Hook your computer up to the internet, put the Sony "Charlies Angels-Full Throttle" DVD into machine, then tell me what you think of Sony. I dare you. WARNING- this is how I found out rootkit was not on CDs' only, although Sony denies this. I have a high speed connection which may have aided the program, dial-up might be possible to catch in time, but I doubt it.

  2. thats the only downside about ipods though.

i like how they're big and can play videos but thats about it.

you can actually add music to it without going through itunes using another program, you may also be able to turn it into a mass storage device if i remember correctly.

I really don't understand anything anymore.

Every1 wants a 20 ft. TV and a 2 in. player to watch movies on.

The only bad review I found about the Creative Zen was a loose jack connection right at the player that could be fixed by wedging in almost anything.

  3. Are you getting paid by them or something?

You've posted that in a bunch of different threads.

Also why do think fsecure is so great? I've tried it and it was ok but it wasn't anything amazing.

Oh and if for some reason anyone would like to try fsecure you can get 6 months free:

    http://esd.element5.com/demoreg.html?produ...mp;languageid=1

Probably because it works great, easy to use and set-up, stops things from getting on as opposed to getting it then having to remove it, and gives you complete control. What apps can connect, what can download, when and what to scan, parental control and more.

A newbie, such as myself, with limited experience being with NOrtON and McAfee(liked), it is great! My computer is so much faster than with NOrtON, there is no comparison. Plus with my Internet connection it is available as a free download. Last download average speed, 94144KB/sec, while being scanned. Bottom line. Makes me feel f-secure surfing the web.

  4. That's a shame. I'm sure all those people who, like myself, have scant knowledge of the more technical aspects of a pc will agree that you guys are like gold dust to us.

    I most definitely agree

F-Secure. It is free for me with my cable connection. AVG would be my choice after that but F-Secure works great for me. No complaints, no reason to switch.

  5. Thanks for all the comments guys!, U think this would be able too take a game like.. Obivlion ore... Gothic 3? :P

    I have:

AMD Sempron 3400+,1.99 GHz, 448 MB Ram, ATI Radeon Express 200, WindowsXP Home SP2.

I just purchased GTR2-FIA GT Racing Game, which you supposedly need a super computer to play, but I have had no problem playing this game or GT Legends, although I have not tried on-line game play yet.

    GTR2 Recommended System Requirements:

    Windows XP Home/Pro

    3 GHz Intel Pentium IV

    1GB Ram

DirectX 9.0c compatible graphics card with 256 MB memory

This is the best looking game I have ever seen. Graphics are so amazing, some of the replays look like you are watching a race on TV it is so realistic looking.

I only posted this so that someone with more experience about such things could possibly use it to explain a little more about the games and their requirements.

  6. Hi there not sure if this is the right section but i didnt no whereelse to type it. My dvd_rw has decided to stop writing discs ie it does not recognise a blank disc, it just says please insert a blank disc so i decided to open up the pc to see if anything was loose from the dvd_rw and nothing was ( i had turned the computer of at the wall before doing this) however nothing seemed to be wrong. I put the casing back on, switched the main power switch on at the back and then pressed the on button...but nothing happened it did not turn on. I opened the tower up to see that the green L.E.D light was not on even though the switch was on at the back ( idid check by switching it the opposite way a couple of times) . i pulled the power cable out and placed it back in then switched the switch now the Green L.E.D light was back on however i pressed the on button and again nothing happened. frustrated i left the computer and came back an hour later to try turning it on again, this time it worked but the computer did not "boot" up, the monitor did not turn on the keyboard functions (caps F lock and numlock would not work) so i am guessing that windows wasnot loading...then the computer voluntarely turned itself off after roughly 2 minutes. i tried turning it on again but nothing happend, when i went to switch the MAIN switch at the back of the computer seemed to turn on for a split second then turn itself of with the green light. Again i tried an hour later and it worked but same again it turned of after roughly 2 mins this time i did check to see if the fan over the processor went on as it could of been overheating but it was working fine.

Ive tried unplugging power cable from back and "discharghing" the computer by holding the power button this didnt work, it is not a processor heating problem ( i dont think) this happened before when i had the fan unplugged by accident however windows loaded whereas this tme nothing.

Sorry for the huge long paragraph and hope it dosnt put any1 off but the more information the better. I'd really apreciate any suggestions or input. Cheers

    1.6gHz AMD athlon processor

    2GB ram

I am a newbie myself, but from what I have read, anytime you open the case of your computer, leave it plugged in or wear special static proof gloves as a static electrical shock could screw-up components. If it is plugged in, you are grounded and static is not an issue.

  7. Believe me I'm all for openoffice.(I use it all the time and even got staroffice)

But in a business environment I don't think its a wise decision. Especially if your using customized access and excel files all the time. For Word files and even powerpoints openoffice does fine but I wouldn't rely on it for the others, especially when money/time is on the line.

When I downloaded OpenOffice, over 1yr.ago, it told me there were tracking cookies and that deleting them or disabling them would cause the program to not work. I installed anyway to try it as I had heard good things about it and I didn't have $500 for MS Office Pro. After two weeks of watching my brand new HP computer perform slowly, I uninstalled OpenOffice. Not everything uninstalled properly and me being a newbie and having a brand new computer, it was easier at the time for me to re-install complete OS. Except for the one week-end, I made the mistake of putting in a Sony DVD, yes DVD, not CD, and it fubarred my system, another re-install as it reformats the drive as well, the OS works beautifully. I would use Open Office if I had too, but in meantime, would be saving money for the real thing.

So I suggest, as has been said, if you need it for work, contact your employer! It worked for me.

Just an additional thought, why isn't every1 down on car manufacturers? If every1 operated their vehicle as recklessly as their computer, would we then be on their case. MS OS's and IE 6/7, can be operated as safely and as efficiently as any Corvette.

  8. Thank you Hazelnut. I will do that.

R-click "my Computer", click Properties, select the remote tab, check the box to have it selected then click the advanced button, in the new dialog box, deselect allowing remote control, click apply then/or Ok, deselect box on the remote tab, click apply then/and Ok.

  9. Don't think it's a false positive - Stopzilla said the Spyware it detected tried to modify my hosts registry and add all this spyware/adware sites.....

So think again - Stopzilla is one of the best spyware things out there right now - I also run SpyCatcher, Spybot and Ad-Aware and Spyware Blaster - I use a combination of all these to keep my computer spyware free.

I seriously doubt that you are spyware free. Multiple applications of similiar software causes instability of system and may cause each and every similiar program to not work properly, hence you do not have multiple virus applications on same PC for added security.

I use the full suite of "F-Secure" anti-virus, which works very well, and the settings are such that it detects spyware B4 it is installed, not after the fact (until I scan), I received no "spyware" or "adware" warnings while installing CCleaner. Although I have not run the virus-scan since installing (installed 2 hrs ago), I am confident that when I do, I will have a cclean bill of health.

  10. I have the same question and am going to try to install and run on my "limited" account CCleaner by R-Clicking the installer, then click "Run as..." and selecting admin option, which should install the program on that "limited" account, allowing that user to use (maybe).

I am no expert, but it seems to me that there is only one "Register", therefore I would assume cleaning the registry from the admin account cleans the whole register for all users. I only want to run from other accounts to be able to use the other easy to use functions. This seems to be the easiest way to list and stop programs and applications from running at start-up.

I have only just downloaded and installed this program and ran once, have not rebooted yet but have switched users twice and can see a noticable difference in time it takes to switch users and to get to an idle state from start-up.

    To the creators,

    Thank-you, I love you.
