Thanks for all the input. I have checked each one out to no avail. Have contacted support. Hopefully will get this solved soon and will share.

When I run back to back CCleaner sessions the total remains at 6550 cleaned, regardless of the precleaned total. This thing has gone south. Will attempt to attempt their support again. Thanks for your efforts.

Sorry!! Should have read 6000Mb. Possibly counting clipboard? I do a lot of copy and paste.

CCleaner found in excess of 6000 Mb junk. Hard to believe. How can I view these items before cleaning them?
