  1. And indeed that was always allowed, as it has been for 97%+ of the other customers who bought at the same time as you. For your privacy, if you would like more information as to why you were part of the ~3% who had their licence cancelled, it might be best if you contact customer support about that.
  2. You are correct. If you are a paying customer, you can get that from customer support. What you have instead done is swear and curse in a public forum at your fellow CCleaner users who might otherwise have offered you some suggestions if you had provided some additional information - such as any antivirus or firewall software that you might have running that might be interfering with CCleaner's operation. Other information that might be useful would be if you had experienced problems on this computer with any prior versions of CCleaner, etc. Would you like to try again?
  3. Are you trying to change your email address for your CCleaner Professional subscription account? If so, you can do so by contacting customer support - support@ccleaner.com. Best to use the same email address that you used for your original purchase if possible, so you will automatically be identifying as a paying customer. If not, be sure to include either your licence key or your Cleverbridge order reference number in your message to them so that they can find you. Note that with the Back Friday and Cyber Monday sales on at the moment, it may take them a couple of days to be able to get to your case. (Do not post any personal information here on the website though)
  4. @Benalup @Troy Tempest: We have CCleaner for Mac 1.18 working on BigSur in the office - aside from some minor cosmetic issues and missing some cookies in the latest version of Safari. Only known compatibility issue is with the new M1 ARM hardware. Assuming that this isn't a brand-spanking new Mac that you are running this on, can you provide some additional information that might help us diagnose your problem? Antivirus software, firewalls, custom networking configuration, etc?
  5. CCleaner does not install mailwasherpro. (I'm not even sure what that is) In addition to @nukecad's notes above: CCleaner does have an Uninstaller toll under Tools > Uninstall which may be of assistance to uninstall some 3rd party software If you have already uninstalled something and it has left remnants behind in the registry then careful and selective use of the Registry cleaner will help remove those leftover traces. (Note that we do not generally recommend indiscriminate use of the Registry Cleaner unless there is something specific that you are trying to fix or remove). If you run CCleaner's Software Updater (available under Tools > Software Updater or the Security tab of Health Check) that will list some pieces of software that have been previously installed which may be helpful. Executing an update will install the latest versions of any out-of-date versions that you already have installed.
  6. The in-app cart is showing a different discount offer (with pricing that is not available to the public). If you want the lowest purchase price for 1 year CCleaner Professional Plus then that in-app offer is probably the one for you - unless you are interested in the 24x7 live Premium Tech support from website offer.
  7. @rmust3: If you purchased with a company name, were you able to register it using the company name that you provided at the time of purchase rather than your personal name.
  8. Hi @happy8 That doesn't sound like usual behaviour. To help us figure out what might be going wrong, could you let us know: What Windows version are you running? Windows 7, 8 or 10 If Windows 10, do you know which release it is (1809, 2004, 20H2, etc?) Which antivirus and firewall do you have running? Do you have any custom modification to your windows networking configuration, such as a changed hosts file? Did you download CCleaner 5.74 yourself from the CCleaner website, or was this an automatic update from an older version of CCleaner. Can you remember which version it was? Are you able to screenshot the message that you see when it does not run and asks you to purchase? Does it look something like this (with the "no thanks" to close)?
  9. Cashback processing is usually pretty quick if you have paid using a credit card in one of our top currencies (EUR, GBP, USD, etc) since those can be batch processed automatically. Bank transfers and currencies for which we don't have standard price lists (SGD, COP, etc) have to be done by hand and take a bit longer.
  10. There is a "2 years for the price of one (after cashback)" offer - but that is different one. The offer mentioned by evdmolen64 is not available to the general public and the options are only for 1 year of CCleaner Professional (1PC), 1 Year of CCleaner Professional Plus (3 PCs or Macs), or 1 Year of a Premium bundle with CCleaner Professional Plus and either 24x7 live general technical support (English only) or Kamo (everyone else).

The email receipt would also have mentioned something along the lines of this: The "claim period has ended" message that you saw related to the last cashback - where the claim period had indeed ended. The site now says: BUT you will still need to have registered the CCleaner licence key and have 24 hours elapse from when you purchased for it all to work properly. This is, as NukeCad correctly deduced, to ensure that various background things have synced up properly.
  12. CCleaner Professional is sold as an annual subscription. Although we have noticed that some users switch the billing off immediately after purchasing if they only planned to use CCleaner for the initial 12 months anyway.
  13. Had you successfully installed a previous version of CCleaner on this computer prior to updating to Windows 20H2? We have seen users have problems with a variety of software installation after some prior Windows updates when Windows "helpfully" resets your Windows store settings and wants to insist that you download something from the Windows store instead. Are you getting a Windows Store pop-up when you try to run the installer? If it is some other error message that is popping up, could you provide us with a copy please?
  14. Usual diagnostic questions: Which version of Windows 10 are you running (1809,2004,etc)? Do you have any antivirus or firewall software running? Does the ccsetup574.exe installer work properly for you if you right-click on it from your downloads folder and select "Run as Administrator"? When you right-click on ccsetup574.exe and select Properties > Compatibility is the Compatibility mode unchecked? (should be off)
  15. Do you remember what version you were on prior to updating to CCleaner 5.74? Was this CCleaner Free or CCleaner Professional?
  16. Moving this off the main menu has been on the to do list for quite a while. It is not commonly used (most users seem to pretty much live in either the "Health Check" or "Custom Clean" areas) but does not sensibly belong where a user might potentially perceive it as a "thing to do every day" activity. It would be there already, but there needs to be some rethinking around how it is laid out for it to fit in the available space in a submenu under Tools to actually be able to read the results, eg: Conceptually, that is what Health Check was supposed to be a step towards - but we had to fit it into the existing navigation structure. Changing the console so that it can be made to feel like each user will feel like it is the "right fit" for them is one of the thing being researched by the "CCleaner 6" project. Sounds like if we get it right, it should achieve the objective that you had in mind - albeit in a different way.
  17. This has been pondered before in the context of a "legacy" version for the folks on antique licences. Don't think it went anywhere. Couple of questions: Aside from the installer being a smidge smaller, how would you see this differing from setting Custom Clean as your home screen and ignoring the other buttons? With the moving target of constant updates to browsers, and other software that we clean, even if we did absolutely nothing new we'd probably still average something like a half dozen releases per year to ensure compatibility. Only 2-4 releases per year would make it dependent on 3rd party add-ons to keep the cleaning up to date, and make this one strictly for the hobbyists who are happy to tinker with winapp2.ini. I suspect we already have a little enclave of Windows 7 users on CC5.42 doing exactly that. Would you envisage the "lite" version essentially operating the same way? We already have a dozen different flavours of CCleaner desktop to maintain and that I'd quite like to prune. So yes, that is a factor ...

We don't bundle additional software with CCleaner, but offers for things can appear occasionally - such as for other software (as per the above), or if there is a sale on for CCleaner Professional. If you are passionate on this topic and don't want to see any commercial offers for CCleaner or anything else, there are two option available to you: Roll back to CCleaner 2.36 (from late 2010 - last version to not contain any offers of any sort); or Uncheck the following option under Options > Privacy in CCleaner 5.71 and above. On a related matter, you may also wish to consider the CCleaner Browser (https://www.ccleaner.com/ccleaner/browser) which has built-in blocking of ads on websites.
  19. This is a fairly generic windows error. If you could provide a little more detail please that would be most helpful: Could you be more specific about when the error message appears? Is this happening the instant you start CCleaner for the first time after installation? Before or after the main console window appears? When you try to access a specific function or perform an operation? When you say that you downloaded a clean copy to reinstall, did you install over your old copy? Have you tried performing an uninstall of the old copy before installing the new one? Which Windows 10 version and build are you using? What antivirus software and/or firewall software (and version) are you currently running? Do you have any other custom modifications running, such as a custom ccleaner .ini file or a modified windows hosts file?
  20. If a serial number is actually valid for old versions then it will also be valid for new versions. As NukeCad said - the best solution for account-specific issues is to contact support, but I am curious about this one though - feel free to DM me the licence key so I can check it for you.

To recap in previous notes from this thread and a couple of others: This is a known bug to be corrected shortly with a patch release that will ensure that Smart Cleaning stays off when unchecked. You can work around it temporarily by switching off all options in Options > Smart Cleaning and also the automatic updates in Options > Updates. After the patch release, using automatic updates without smart cleaning on will still leave CCleaner persistent in the tray (consuming around 5MB of memory as it waits for the next update) but without popping up to let you know proactively when there is stuff to clean.
  22. Indeed we do. Hence the announcement of the feature. By way of a side-note, it is worth mentioning again that CCleaner has a steadily growing user base which is larger than the population of most countries - and it is quite a diverse user base in every respect. Not every new feature is for everyone, but in each case is there to meet the demand of several millions of our users. Some of these you may not notice - when we improve our multi-lingual support from time to time, add cleaning support for new browsers that you might not use, or the recent screen-reader improvements for the vision-impaired. Some you might - like the introduction of Easy Clean, Health Check or Automatic Updates. In each of those latter cases we keep the options open for all users to use CCleaner in the manner that they prefer - folks who don't want to tinker and expect CCleaner to just do its job can use Health Check and leave it to keep itself up to date; technical enthusiasts can switch back to the traditional Custom Clean interface and modify their options for greater control. CCleaner has been subsidising the cost of distributing free software with offers since Decemeber 2010. We've been steadily improving the transparency of these offers over the past 14 months based on user input, but we welcome additional feedback if you feel that this presentation is "tricking" in any way. (Greying out the "Accept" box for a few seconds to force people in a hurry to notice the giant graphic and to read what they're accepting is one idea that we are weighing up, for example). That was always allowed. If you are on CCleaner 5.73 or earlier, be sure to go to Options > Updates and make sure that "Apply these updates automatically" under Important Updates is switched off https://support.piriform.com/hc/en-us/articles/360050855452-What-are-Important-Updates-and-how-can-I-control-them- ... or you can switch off Automatic Updates under Options > Updates in CCleaner 5.74 or higher for exactly the same experience.
  23. Curious to know your OS and browser version. I recall there being an issue for users on old browsers that were tied to old TLS versions.
  24. Indeed, we have confirmed this to be a bug, and we're working on a patch release at the moment to fix this. We hope to have this out in a couple of days and apologise for the inconvenience in the interim. In the meantime, to make deactivating Smart Cleaning stick, the work-around is: Unchecking all of the boxes on the Options > Smart Cleaning screen in CCleaner (going from top to bottom, as the "Enable Smart Cleaning" is greyed out if "Tell me when there are junk files to clean" is checked); and Unchecking the Options > Updates > Keep CCleaner updated automatically option. The production of .dmp files and error logs associated with this bug will be fixed with the patch release.
